Making clouds less cloudy

The term "cloud computing" can be a very confusing thing. Like the phrases "Web 2.0", "new media" and even "blogs", these terms are used by different people to mean different things.

BusinessWeek has a very useful article explaining what cloud computing entails.

As we face an ICT future in the clouds, it's important we have a clear perspective of what it's all about, so that we can be ready for the paradigm shift that it will create.

An excellent book about this very topic is The Big Switch by Nicholas Carr, the same author who wrote Does IT Matter?
