More users in Asia-Pacific will be able to get their hands on the Apple iPhone 4S this month, as the company has announced the availability of its newest smartphone in 15 more countries.

In Asia-Pacific, the iPhone 4S will be available in Hong Kong, New Zealand and South Korea on Nov. 11, said Apple in a Monday press statement. The suggested retail price of the 16GB model of the iPhone 4S is US$199, US$299 for the 32GB model and US$399 for the 64GB model. However, final pricing in local currencies will be determined by the different countries.

Pre-orders for the device will begin Nov. 4, said the company, noting that the iPhone 4S will be sold through Apple's online store, retail stores and select authorized resellers.

Australia and Japan were the first two countries in the region to get a hold of the device when it was first launched in the U.S. on Oct. 14. The phone was later available in 22 more countries including Singapore on Oct. 28.

The launch of the device is not without controversy. South Korean consumer electronics giant, Samsung, sued Apple in Japan and Australia to stop sales of the device over patent infringements covering wireless communications and user-interface technologies.
