NetMotion Wireless Case Study: Owensboro Mercy Health System

Overview

Owensboro Mercy Health System (OMHS) is a not-for-profit, regional healthcare provider, serving 13 counties in Kentucky and southern Indiana. Owensboro Mercy Health System has 802.11b coverage throughout their facility, but the charting application they use fails whenever a user moves from one wireless access point to another. It was so unusable that the wireless network was turned off all but one floor. NetMotion Mobility was initially installed on a server and three clients and immediately resolved their roaming issue.
