Vitopel Unifies Processes Across Three Plants, Lowering Costs and Raising Productivity

Overview

Vitopel is the biggest Latin American producer of polypropylene products, a chemical compound more resistant than plastic used to manufacture products ranging from ad labels to ceilings and decorative panels. Vitopel wanted to centralize key business processes for plants in Argentina and Brazil, including supply management, production, commercial, human resources and administration, and finances. They wanted to eliminate outdated accounting, inventory and human resources applications, whose capacity was limited and required expensive and time-consuming manual processing. The company wanted to redefine work and data-processing models and choose an ERP system that provides integration, scalability and flexibility at a reasonable cost. Vitopel implemented Oracle E-Business Suite Special Edition and Oracle Discoverer.
