Overview

Since Exchange 2003 relies totally upon Active Directory for correct operation, it comes as no surprise that an Exchange server runs several key components that interact with Active Directory. One of those is the Directory Service Access (DSAccess) component. In this paper the author takes a closer look at what DSAccess is and what it does.
