Overview

One of the leading British opticians, Dollond & Aitchison (D&A), operates in an increasingly competitive market. To ensure customer satisfaction and retain existing clients, it worked with a legacy Business Intelligence (BI) Query and Reporting solution. This provided analysis of business data, but was slow and not user-friendly when detailed business analysis was required. Many business processes were handled manually, increasing workloads and incidences of human error. To address these issues, and provide accurate, timely management information, the company deployed a new BI infrastructure based on Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and ProClarity Analytics.
