Overview
Adea International, a business and IT solution provider, wanted to simplify and centralize network access. The company operated a wireless network, a VPN, and a LAN that incorporated multiple virtual LANs. Each network used different hardware and technology; thus, each access server had its own user directory and authentication policies. Adea implemented a solution based on Microsoft Windows Server 2003 and the Internet Authentication Service as a RADIUS server with Active Directory. Now the company has centralized authentication and accounting for all its networks and can bypass hardware and technology restrictions. Network administrators can easily set up new virtual LANs for client projects.
