Henan Power Gains Stable, Reliable Database Platform to Run Critical Sales and Marketing Systems

Overview

Henan Power Electric wanted to build a computing environment that integrates information collection, processing, and storage. The challenge was to consolidate on a single database platform to reduce costs and simplify administration and ensure the availability and stability of the organization's sales and marketing information systems. The company selected Oracle Database and Oracle Real Application Clusters to build the new database platform over IBM DB2 and Sybase. It engaged Oracle Certified Advantage Partner Taiji Computer Corporation to design, develop, and implement the Oracle database platform, as well as evaluate the existing infrastructure to determine whether it supports the new solution and close any technology gaps.
