Information is an organization's blood carrying "Nutrients" for organizational functioning, coordination, and planning. The technologies for managing and distributing information determine how effectively an organization can achieve its goals. The emergence of Intranet and extranet in recent years are revolutionizing the way organizations manage and distribute information, consequently, it will change the organizational structures and business processes. This paper discusses the technology and its implications for corporate information management as well as some management issues.
