Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Cuts Annual Paper Usage and Greenhouse Emissions in Half

Overview

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University wanted to eliminate duplication of student-related documents and process inefficiencies across 130 locations throughout the United States and Europe and establish a common application to house the university's student-based documentation - reducing paper usage across the organization, minimizing its carbon footprint, and providing the ability to electronically search for and locate student-based documentation and share such information across departments. The challenge was to support processing of more than 300 different student document types. Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University implemented Oracle Distributed Document Capture to electronically capture student forms and send them to the university's headquarters from the originating location - eliminating duplication and mailing costs.
