Life Fitness wanted to replace a report-driven Business Intelligence (BI) tool with a dashboard-focused solution to enable rapid and intuitive drill down and accelerated decision making and enable BI system users to be self-sufficient and empower Life Fitness to support a large user base with limited IT resources. The challenge was to improve the clarity of metadata across subject areas to drive more actionable reports and gain the knowledge required to drive organization-wide improvements to ensure a competitive edge in the price-sensitive and fast-paced fitness industry. Life Fitness standardized on Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition to simplify and improve the quality of business reporting and ensure the consistency of metadata across 125 enterprise subject areas.
