Bostads AB Poseidon wanted to improve the analysis tool in order to be able to compile flexible, quality-assured financial reports and create the opportunity to compile reports which combine information from different source systems. The challenge was to replace resource-hungry manual routines for information processing with automated processes and meet requirements for reporting to the parent company and authorities. Bostads AB Poseidon implemented Oracle Warehouse Builder to create a database which obtains, processes, and quality-assures information from different source systems and introduced Oracle Business Intelligence Suite Enterprise Edition to make information accessible to users in the form of flexible reports and analyses.

Riverbed Technology wanted to collect and store application and network performance data from Steelhead WDS appliances deployed at remote sites into the Steelhead Central Management Console (CMC) and collect and store application and network performance data from Steelhead Mobile software deployed to mobile users into the Steelhead Mobile Controller (SMC). The challenge was to scale the CMC and SMC's data collection to support thousands of remote sites accumulating data over time periods ranging from five minutes to years and minimize administrative overhead and cost for customers. Riverbed Technology embedded Oracle Berkeley DB in Riverbed's CMC and SMC to make it easier for customers to manage by avoiding the administrative burden and costs associated with a separate database.

Yarra Valley Water (YVW) is the largest of the city of Melbourne's three metropolitan water retailers. Using Microsoft Windows HPC Server 2008 Job Scheduler 2008-02-01 Microsoft

Windows HPC Server 2008, the successor to Windows Compute Cluster Server (WCCS), includes a new Job Scheduler that provides greater scalability and supports advanced policies. The new Job Scheduler supports a new Service Oriented Architecture mode that provides access to interactive applications through the Windows Communication Framework. The graphical interface for the Job Scheduler is now fully integrated into the Administration Console, and the command-line interface now uses Windows PowerShell for all Job Scheduler functions, while maintaining compatibility with the command-line interface commands in WCCS. This paper explains the new Job Scheduler functionality.
