Conducting e-Discovery 80 Percent Faster Helps Australian Investigators Uphold the Law, Reduce Storage Costs and Increase Data Protection With Symantec | 2007-12-04 | Symantec |
| Facing a growing number of increasingly complex cases, Australia Federal Police (AFP) needed a better way to manage, store, and search email and file system information. Microsoft Exchange backups, search, and recovery were too slow and PST files, used for archiving email, posed too many risks. While evaluating software archiving options, AFP brought Symantec onto the case. Results include the ability to conduct 80 percent faster email discovery, a 96 percent reduction in Microsoft Exchange backup times, and a 92 percent reduction in email recovery times.

SwimWays Shores Up Design Data With StoreVault | 2007-09-11 | Network Appliance (NetApp) |
| SwimWays Corporation is a privately owned worldwide manufacturer of leisure and recreational water products, headquartered in Virginia Beach, VA. Several groups within the company were making forceful storage demands on the IT staff, and all groups had different requirements. In order to meet these needs, SwimWays had 12 servers and 2TB of production data under management. SwimWays required both design and sales data to be retained for the entire three-year product life cycle, but there was no tape subsystem for backups. Dataline, a Norfolk, VA, reseller, suggested a StoreVault with 12 drives, the CIFS protocol, RAID-DP and a SCSI card.
