Making Identity and Access Management Real: The Early Days | 2009-01-01 | Microsoft |
| As network structures expand, IT administrators and managers face an increasing danger of losing control over their IT environments. Each server and resource that appears on the network must be managed by an individual, which can result in many different accounts that follow different password standards. This webcast looks at an example scenario at a fictional company in which some departments rely upon computers running Linux to provide certain services, and need a central platform for single sign-on to maintain them. The attendee will learn how Active Directory can be helpful in addressing these challenges, and see how to design and implement an Active Directory environment that meets the company's needs. | |||

AXIGEN Mail Server & eDirectory Services Integration | 2009-01-01 | GECAD TECHNOLOGIES |
| This paper focuses on the integration between the AXIGEN messaging solution and the eDirectory Services product developed by Novell. The actual level of interaction between the solutions is limited to the user authentication process. Specifically, by following the steps described herein, one will be able to allow the authentication process, that AXIGEN usually performs using the internal database, to be outsourced into eDirectory. This simplifies credential management and ensures password consistency across multiple applications and network services.

Lotus Notes to Microsoft InfoPath Forms Conversion | 2009-01-01 | |
| The Client had a large number of Lotus Notes forms created over the last decade. The forms were a critical part of their global business with workflow and approval process dependencies. These forms were primarily available only via the Lotus Notes client and was not available via the browser. This limited the ability of employees to access the information without the availability of Lotus Notes. The age and the inflexibility of the forms also required the Client's technology team's constant involvement. Additionally, the client had started migrating their email systems from Lotus Notes to Microsoft Exchange and wanted to leverage Microsoft Active Directory to manage user access more efficiently. ConvergePoint was entrusted with the task of converting the existing Lotus Notes forms to Microsoft InfoPath.
