Overview

The Spanish Ministry of Science and Technology wanted to reduce paper-based processes for assignment planning and centralise all its documentation into one, user-friendly tool. With the help of Microsoft partner Renacimiento, it set up a shared working framework based on Microsoft Office SharePoint Portal Server 2003. The solution enables documents to be created and managed electronically, promoting user collaboration and enabling them to keep track of different stages of drafting. It integrates with Microsoft Windows XP Tablet PC Edition, providing senior members with mobile access on Tablet PC handheld devices. The devices are used to enhance presentations, and during meetings handwritten notes can be made directly on the screen.
