Business Management Solution Supports Virtual Manufacturing, Streamlines Production

Overview

Microsoft Home and Entertainment Division (HED) needed to minimize the time and money spent developing Microsoft Xbox 360. To meet this goal, HED brought some research and design tasks in house, forming the Silicon Operations (SiOps) group to oversee development of the Graphics Processor Unit (GPU) Manufacturing would remain outsourced, so the team needed visibility of the supply-chain management process and access to real-time data from existing Microsoft and contract manufacturers' systems. The SiOps group implemented Microsoft Dynamics AX and, with Microsoft partner Fullscope, developed Microsoft Dynamics AX for High Tech Industries.
