IBM Technology Enhances Communication at Northern Michigan University

Overview

Northern Michigan University (NMU) is located in Marquette, a town in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. In 1997, NMU was faced with additional requirements for more computer labs. After exploring several possible computer initiatives, NMU decided to implement a laptop program that would provide consistent computing standards campus-wide. Thirty-five vendors, including IBM were asked to submit bids to become NMU's technology partner.
