HP Helps Ameren Keep the Lights On

Overview

After HP announced its plan to transition from the AlphaServers to industry standards based platforms, AREVA T&D chose to focus on Intel platforms including Itanium running Windows or Linux. As a result, Ameren selected a new Integrity server hardware platform that would meet its high standards for reliability. The company chose HP Integrity servers and Intel Itanium 2 processors with built-in redundancy and flexible capacity running Microsoft Windows, along with server management software.
