Housing Services Company Speeds Migration With New Tool

Overview

Collegiate Housing Services (CHS) provides student housing programs to colleges, universities, and other post-secondary learning institutions throughout the United States. During a previous operating system upgrade, the company's IT staff spent 11 days conducting a manual inventory of its software and hardware. When planning an upgrade to the Windows Vista operating system, CHS expected to perform a time-consuming inventory and replace all of its 84 computers, believing they would not meet Windows Vista hardware specifications.
