Overview
Seiko Epson (Epson) manufactures peripherals, electronic devices, and precision products. To stay ahead in its projector business, Epson wanted to deliver a projector with improved connectivity, simplified setup, and wireless transmission capabilities. Through a Joint Development Program with Microsoft, Epson choose to use Windows Embedded CE 6.0 to develop a smart, connected, service-oriented projector. Its EMP-1825 (PowerLite 1825 in the United States) Network Projectors with embedded CE 6.0 can be easily detected, rapidly set up, and are able to wirelessly receive audio-visual content and presentation files. These enhanced features have resulted in increased usage of the network projectors, while Epson expects to achieve a return on investment for the development a year earlier than projected.
