The JMU admissions team created a solution using a Dell Latitude notebook computer with a peripheral bar code scanner to scan student driver's license information directly into a Microsoft Access database from recruiting locations.

Today, the Momento frame not only communicates wirelessly with local computers to stream photos and other content from hard drives, it also streams pictures from the Internet and displays live information from Windows Vista systems using Windows SideShow gadget technology.
