Cost-Efficient Notebooks Help Mobilize Texas Police Department | 2005-09-27 03:00:03 | Dell |
| The Cisco, TX Police Department (PD) had six officers to protect the town of 3,800 people. Like law enforcement agencies nationwide, the department needed its officers to spend their time patrolling the community - not stuck doing paperwork. In particular, the department wanted to streamline the procedures involved with traffic stops. The Cisco PD first turned to Dell based on the recommendation of a trusted software vendor. The durability, reliability and flexibility of Dell notebooks were key selling points. But like for any other small, local agency, the final factor came down to price. In addition to notebooks, the department also selected software to simplify the creation of traffic citations. | |||
