The largest hotel chain in the Brazilian Southern region, the Plaza Hotel, wanted to revolutionize customer relationships by taking advantage of technology to provide a wider array of faster, more cost-effective services. The challenge was to restructure its Information Technology (IT) environment across six facilities to allow centralized hotel administration and improved customer relationship management capabilities. To restructure their IT environment, the Plaza Hotel chose the Linux open source Operating System (OS) and Intel Xeon and Intel Celeron processor-based platforms to achieve the required performance and reliability. They selected Intel Premier Provider, Leader Tech, for the project implementation.

The Shanxi Provincial Government was managing a massive online information center which required a robust support infrastructure. In order to manage this information and process requests via the network, their staff required powerful desktop computers. They needed an information platform that would be flexible and allow its organizations to customize applications to suit specific needs. The Shanxi Provincial Government initiated the deployment of their new Information Technology (IT) framework in 2005. This comprehensive deployment is based on Intel architecture-based servers and desktops. Running the server edition of Linux OS developed by CS2C, the servers function as both mail and file servers.
