Overview

The presenter of this webcast discusses new diagnostics and troubleshooting features in Internet Information Services (IIS) 7.0. First, the presenter examines how the new Runtime Status and Control API (RSCA) allow administrators to obtain state information and to trigger events such as starting and stopping a site. Next, the presenter explores Automatic Failed Request Tracing technology that helps administrators capture information about and troubleshoot complex and intermittent problems. Finally, the presenter looks at adding trace events to ASPX pages and viewing logged information.
