Finansbank Improves Performance and Availability of Enterprise Data Warehouse

Overview

Finansbank wanted to implement a new enterprise data warehouse solution to support core banking data from a variety of sources and relieve performance loads on the existing data warehouse and manage a large and rapidly growing data store, now at 16 terabytes and doubling in size approximately every 15 months. The challenge was to optimize backup processes to increase efficiency while safeguarding valuable financial data. Finansbank implemented an Oracle enterprise data warehouse loaded daily using Oracle Data Integrator, to handle crucial bank data such as information for the bank's 3.5 million credit card accounts and optimized performance by providing each business group with its own data mart within the data warehouse, including a new dedicated environment to support campaign management.
