Texcel LLC Uses Biscom Delivery Server (BDS) to Eliminate Email Attachment File Size Issues, Take the Burden Off Their Mail Server, and Send Large 3D Modeling and Design Files to Their Clients Quickly, Easily, and Securely | 2008-03-31 | Biscom |
| Texcel provides their world-wide customer base with medical device products and process development. Texcel has a department of twenty-five engineers who use SolidWorks, a 3D modeling and design software application, to create medical device drawings. The engineers work collaboratively with each other, as well as with their clients. Because specifications and designs are constantly changing, Texcel employees needed a way to send the large files back and forth internally, as well as externally, to their clients, without bogging down the company's mail server. Texcel uses BDS, a clientless, Web-based secure file transfer solution that enables enterprise-class secure file transfer. Data transfer is authenticated and delivered directly from point to point.

The Netezza FAST Engines Framework: A Powerful Framework for High-Performance Analytics | 2008-02-01 | Netezza |
| The Netezza Performance Server (NPS) performance multiplier effect is the result of a framework of FPGA-Accelerated Streaming Technology (FAST) Engines that leverage the embedded FPGA to provide performance acceleration advantages and functionality as rapidly as data can be read (or "Streamed") from the disk drive on each intelligent node. Netezza's AMPP (Asymmetric Massively Parallel Processing) system architecture, the best combination of MPP and SMP, provides orders of magnitude performance improvements without the complexity, tuning, indexing and aggregations necessary in other competing data warehouse and analytic systems.
