  Internet service providers have to provision network resources to optimize bandwidth utilization. Dynamic routing protocols take traffic variations into account to control the load distribution. Multipath routing protocols attempt to take advantage of the path diversity to bring network robustness and reliability. Indeed, with a specific traffic engineering policy, they enable load balancing across several paths. The aim is to compute a set of loopfree paths in order to allow routers to share the load on several next hops depending on current load measurement. This paper describe the original Incoming Interface Multipath Routing technique, DT(p), then it present a scheme for load balancing, DT(p)-TE, based on link monitoring.

  Multimedia streaming of mostly user generated content is an ongoing trend, not only since the upcoming of Last.fm and YouTube. A distributed decentralized multimedia streaming architecture can spread the (traffic) costs to the user nodes, but requires providing for load balancing and consider the heterogeneity of the participating nodes. This paper propose a DHT-based information gathering and analyzing architecture which controls the streaming request assignment in the system and thoroughly evaluate it in comparison to a distributed stateless strategy. The impact of the key parameters is evaluated in the allocation function which considers the capabilities of the nodes and their contribution to the system.

Among the problems it is noticed stateless IP autoconfiguration, which provides for each nodes connected to the network an IP address. However, two nodes may have the same address, and a network conflict appears. In this case a manual IP address, which depends on restarting Network Interface Card, is required. This paper presents a technique that, independently of rebooting NIC, maintain the IP address fix. Validation is done by using Fedoracore Operating System.

Effectively distributing these requests across these replicas requires either an extra balancer process or additional code on the client for this distribution.
