Canadian Fire Safety Officer Puts SmartDraw and MobileEyes Responder to the Test

Overview

Since 1997, Rick Percival has been the fire prevention-safety officer for Environmental Health and Safety at Carleton University, One of Ottawa's largest post secondary educational institutions and the "Home away from home" to more than 25,000 students, faculty, staff and visitors. They needed a faster, more accurate and efficient way to do fire safety inspections and planning for 41 campus buildings. SmartDraw made it very easy to create different visuals in a logical manner. They could take base plans and, using libraries and dimensions automatically created while in the field, ensure that their Fire Safety Plan references and drawings were accurate and current. That just blew them away.
