HP Case Study: Irish Life & Permanent

Overview

Irish Life & Permanent plc provides a broad range of life assurance, pension and investment products for individuals and groups to almost one million customers in Ireland. Between the two companies, three separate customer relationship management systems were being used. The company needed a software platform that would support seamless, high-quality sales and services across multiple lines of business, multiple product lines and multiple channels of communication. The company effectively combined the information from three customer systems into a single solution, which was built on an HP L1000 server running HP-UX, and acting as the database server in the solution.
