Overview

Cliffs Natural Resources wanted to replace spreadsheet based reporting, which was costly and prone to late delivery and shorten month-end reporting time to ensure the Asia Pacific management team has time to review consolidated regional results before submission to the U.S. head office. The challenge was to extend and improve management reporting across all areas of the business at individual and consolidated group level. Cliffs Natural Resources engaged Oracle Certified Partner M-Power Solutions to implement Oracle's Hyperion solutions to aid the company in defining requirements; designing, building, testing, and deploying the solution; and deployment project management and Contributed to a shortening of the month-end cycle from seven days to four days, by using Hyperion, not spreadsheets, to derive monthly management and statutory results.
