whitepaper Second-Generation Collaborative Data Integration: Sustainable, Operational, and Governable2008-05-01 SAS Institute
The system consolidations typical of a green data center require data integration. Recent climate changes and the rising price of electricity have led many people to revisit the sustainability of data centers. In response, many corporations are reducing power consumption and the physical footprint of data centers by consolidating and virtualizing redundant data and hardware servers. Most consolidations require that data be transformed and cleansed to better fit the target, which demands tools and techniques for data integration. So, data integration teams are collaborating with green data center programs to effect the consolidations that make IT more sustainable.

whitepaper How to Minimize the Impact of Cybercrime on Your Business: With Finjan's Active Real-Time Code Inspection2008-04-01 Finjan
Off late cybercriminals are motivated by financial gain, and their main vector of attack has become the Web. They understand too well that signature- and database-reliant solutions are not designed to protect against obfuscated malicious codes served on compromised legitimate sites, Web 2.0 -based attacks, and other dynamic attack vectors that use the Web. These sophisticated Web-based attacks are specifically designed to hit the "Blind Spots" of traditional security systems that rely on signatures or databases (such as anti-virus, URL filtering and reputation based security).

whitepaper Business Intelligence in SAP Environments: Understanding the Value of Complementary BI Solutions2008-02-21 Inforte
Two fundamental ways Specialist BI and Niche BI can complement SAP capabilities are in the areas of end-user usability and data integration (especially non-SAP data and data quality management). For those customers who are looking for complementary capabilities to their SAP BW and SAP ERP Reporting, it is important to remember that not all solution providers know how to effectively bolt-on or bolt-in to SAP, even if they are SAP NetWeaver-certified. There are differing levels of breadth and depth in complementing and integrating with SAP that can make or break hybrid architectures. Only Specialist BI or Niche BI providers with a detailed understanding of, long demonstrated history with, and high degree of investment commitment in SAP can effectively make hybrid solutions work.

whitepaper Federal Guide to the Value of Encryption: Encryption From Check Point Can Reduce Recurring Financial Risks of Security Exposure by 90 Percent2008-02-01 Check Point Software Technologies
Encryption is a cyber security technology used to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information stored on or transmitted between computers. Encryption solutions from Check Point automatically obscure digital files and make them unreadable by unauthorized users. The software allows authorized users to automatically decrypt files for use with appropriate applications. The use of these solutions is transparent to users and provides a vital infrastructure service similar to electricity or gas. This paper from Check Point Software is about the economics of encryption. It assesses financial risks to information loss if a federal government agency or department does not use encryption and how those losses can be reduced by using encryption.
