IT Architect Certification Helps HP Increase Customer Confidence | 2007-06-01 | Microsoft |
| HP Services, a U.S. $16 billion business unit of Hewlett-Packard, wanted to give customers implicit confidence in its IT architects who work on enterprise Microsoft projects. Customers looked for consultants with both business and technical expertise. However, the IT industry lacked an objective standard for gauging the proficiency of solution architects. Certifications focused primarily on technical knowledge, and did not address qualifications such as industry experience or leadership ability. That situation changed for the better with the Microsoft Certified Architect (MCA) program, a rigorous accreditation process overseen by leaders in the IT industry. Today, HP Services has twelve MCA certified architects on staff with more to follow. | |||
