NCsoft's North American Installation Completes Global Deployment of TippingPoint Intrusion Prevention Systems

Overview

When NCsoft opened its North American division, it confronted a host of security challenges. NCsoft (North America) had to defend the converged Gigabit network at its Austin, TX base against viruses, spyware, zero-day threats, and other malicious traffic. It required safeguards for the applications, mail servers and videoconferencing systems used for game development and administrative tasks. Around the world, NCsoft uses Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS's) from TippingPoint, a division of 3Com to secure its corporate offices and public web sites.
