Overview
Trading Technologies wanted to implement Microsoft Network Access Protection (NAP) as part of a solution using compliance requirements to assess the security risk posed by a computer or device attempting to connect to its corporate network. The company also wanted to use NAP to control network remote access by mobile devices that may become non-compliant with corporate policies. Trading Technologies deployed Windows Server 2008 Enterprise (64-bit version) on one server through a new, manual installation rather than an upgrade. It was deployed on hardware infrastructure that consisted of an IBM BladeCenter LS21 server, connected to a Hitachi AMS 1000 storage system using a QLogic 2462S host bus adapter for connectivity.
