| The existing Antivirus system in place at South Nottingham College was struggling to block all the attempted infections coming in via e-mail and, in turn, servers were slowing down significantly. The college's 'Course enquiries' address was also coming under attack, as so much spam was arriving at the e-mail address that it was difficult to spot genuine enquiries. In turn, the college was losing students and revenue and its strong reputation was being damaged in the process. Since installing RiskFilter, South Nottingham College has almost completely eliminated unsolicited e-mails therefore the worry of offensive content reaching students.

| Pechanga Resort & Casino is a four diamond casino located on the Pechanga Indian Reservation in Temecula, CA and also California's largest casino. With 1500 e-mail users, Pechanga's IT Security Administrator, was struggling with a spam problem that his filter wasn't able to solve and users that were spending upwards of two hours daily maintaining their e-mail inboxes. Pechanga selected Sendio's E-mail Security Platform (ESP) to totally eliminate spam and e-mail threats and because unlike filters, which require ongoing maintenance but are only partially effective it incorporates a critical human element that brings authenticity and control to e-mail communications. | At SEGA Corporation, a global amusement and game software firm, 3,000 emails an hour consisted of 70 percent spam. This huge influx was wasting staff time and slowing email servers. SEGA sought to address this problem by automatically deleting spam, so it needed a solution that could be trusted to never block legitimate email. Symantec's multi-layered solution, combining Mail Security 8160 and 8260 devices, over 92 percent of English and non-English spam, with zero false positives.

| Like many organizations, French airport group Aeroports de Paris is facing a massive amount of incoming spam. For some employees, spam accounts for 75-95 percent of incoming mail. de Paris IT department started looking for a solution to control unwanted mail flows. More than just an anti-spam tool, the solution had to act as a true, reliable and robust SMTP email gateway - integrating several technologies provide network security, both upstream and downstream. Out of 740,000 incoming messages each day, an average 11.5 percent contain spam and 3.5 percent carry viruses. Aeroports de Paris deployed two IronPort C60 email security appliances, which protect over 8,000 mailboxes against spam and viruses.

| Touchpaper provides round-the-clock support services and software to thousands of customers around the globe. Maintaining high levels of customer service requires effective and efficient communications tools such as email. Although Touchpaper had an anti-spam solution in place, the software was struggling to keep up with the evolution of spam-based messaging and to separate legitimate emails from spam emails. This meant that legitimate emails would be quarantined alongside suspected viruses and spam. Apart from the obvious inconvenience to the intended recipient and the frustrations of the sender, the IT department faced an increasing workload. Touchpaper used IronPort's Active Directory Integration to manage groups of users and assign appropriate privileges, such as attachment size, to certain teams or individual users.

| With 29 elementary, 9 junior high and 5 high schools, as well as nearly 5000 staff, and 28,000 students, Weber School District is one of the largest K-12 school districts in Utah. Over 540,000 emails per day are directed to the students and staff of Weber School District, and more than 97 percent of those messages are spam. Not only is the content of these messages damaging to students, it can act as a vector for destructive desktop viruses, and overload the District's four Groupwise 7.1 servers. In late 2005, Weber School District installed an IronPort C30 email security appliance. Weber School District is also running IronPort Virus Outbreak Filters.
