Overview

Organizations are starting to reach the limits of their initial Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) efforts because of an inability to control, maintain, and trust their services for mission-critical applications. Service virtualization enables to overcome some of the limitations of service implementations by managing endpoints, operations, and policies, instead of Web Services Description Language (WSDL) tools. This webcast looks at the Managed Services Engine (MSE), a solution developed by Microsoft Services that facilitates service virtualization by applying Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) and Microsoft SQL Server. It provides an overview of the architecture that utilizes emerging patterns such as service repositories, runtime brokers, and dynamic behaviors that can support runtime execution through metadata and configuration.
