whitepaper GGZ NHN Improves Performance and Availability of McKesson's Electronic Patient Dossier Horizon GGZ2009-10-01 Oracle
GGZ Noord-Holland-Noord (GGZ NHN) wanted to improve primary system performance and stability of McKesson's electronic patient dossier, Horizon GGZ, and enable interactive operations by users while the organization runs batch processes, including monthly invoice runs and improve availability during planned and unplanned outages. The challenge was to achieve a more scalable and extendable environment to support the business. GGZ Noord-Holland-Noord (GGZ NHN) worked with Oracle Partner Dell and Oracle Consulting to replace hardware and make it more uniform, implementing a four-node extended cluster on Windows across two data centers using Oracle Database with Real Application Clusters and improved system performance, scalability, and availability, for phasing out of the HP UNIX environment and simplifying system management.

whitepaper TANDBERG Gateway and IP2009-06-17 Tandberg
H.323 is an International Telecommunications Union (ITU) standard that describes the protocols, services and equipment necessary for multimedia communications including audio, video and data on networks without guaranteed Quality of Service (QoS). These networks technologies may include Ethernet, Fast Ethernet, and Token Ring and protocols like Internet Protocol (IP) or Integrated Packet Exchange (IPX). Due to the need to communicate between smaller networks connected to the Internet, IP will be a more popular transport for H.323. Today, the dominant method of Internet communications is email. However, there is a growing need to increase communications to include audio, video and data. The explosion of the Internet in the early 1990's has paved the way to higher bandwidth connections to corporate offices, universities and even to the home. Now that the bandwidth is available, the demand for multimedia communications over the Internet is growing. G1 is TANDBERG's first release for the TANDBERG Gateway.

whitepaper Novell Privileged User Manager: Securely Managing Super User Access2009-06-01 Novell
Many organizations rely on their Linux and UNIX systems to run mission-critical services and applications. However, controlling who has access to these systems can be extremely difficult, especially when multiple users (i.e., IT administrators, application developers and database administrators) all have full super user rights to root accounts. Since most of these users only need limited access to perform specific functions that require super user privileges, organizations needlessly leave themselves open to security risks and stiff regulatory penalties. To mitigate these risks, Novell Privileged User Manager helps organizations control access to super user and root privileges by giving administrators controlled super user access that enables them to perform their jobs, but without needlessly giving them root account credentials.
