Aviation Technology Group wanted to create a civilian aircraft that performs like a military fighter. Keep the cost of the plane as low as possible and obtain FAA certification. One of the main challenges facing ATG has been coordinating development efforts with its global supplier base. ATG chose the Teamcenter digital lifecycle management solution from Siemens PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) Software as its PLM system. Teamcenter software provides ATG with a single source of product and process knowledge that allows in-house designers, analysts, managers and the procurement team as well as external suppliers and the FAA to access the design and related product information.
