Overview

Black Rock Country Club was facing widespread network failure. Access to server resources was unreliable, staff couldn't open documents, and its e-business software wasn't always available. Backups weren't consistently succeeding. Black Rock Country Club needed help fast. However, in addition to increasing network availability and restoring the confidence of its staff in the club's network, the server software would also need to run all of its current business applications. Black Rock Country Club looked no further than Windows Server 2008. The most common tasks the club performs in its IT environment include setting up new accounts, checking permissions on shared resources, and monitoring server performance, so the club wanted reliable, fast tools to perform these tasks. Windows Server 2008 had them.
