Flexible and Tailored Services for OAJ Members With a Uniform Platform and a Revamped Web Portal

Overview

The Trade Union of Education in Finland (OAJ), wanted to tailor member services to specific job descriptions and varying needs of the different user groups and make web services available from one source via a common user interface that allows access to all applications. They required single sign-on and a single password for all services. The challenge was to provide better services for enhancing a community spirit and also for providing better value for the membership fees. As a solution integrated OAJ's member registers and user identification of Oracle Portal with SYSOPENDIGIA's OpenPoint Lyyti member register, which uses Oracle Database and changes made to member register automatically modifies the user rights of end users in all web services.
