Quickoffice has furthered that productivity by creating Quickoffice Premier, which makes it possible for mobile users to open, edit, and send original word-processing, spreadsheet, or presentation files without the need for desktop conversion or synchronization. With earlier versions of Quickoffice Premier, people using smart phones could easily open files that were attached to e-mail messages, but, due to the limited processing capacity of the smart-phone environment, the download speed could be an issue. In 2007, Quickoffice added support for Open XML Formats into Quickoffice Premier 5.0, which it released in December 2007 for use with Nokia's S60 Symbian platform.
