The Real Threat to Google | 2008-04-28 | McGraw-Hill Companies |
| No, one of the most formidable challenges facing Google (GOOG) is likely sitting in the pocket or purse. It's the cell phone, and it will put added pressure on Google and other Internet companies to revamp the way they handle online marketing. As more people use cell phones and their tiny glass screens to gain access to the Internet, Google and its fellow online advertisers will have less space, or what's called ad inventory, to place marketing messages for customers. Email Frequency: How Relevancy Tactics Changed the Rules | 2008-04-22 | Listrak |
| Marketers are used to planning ahead as most media buys must be scheduled months in advance to accommodate external press time and availability, along with the careful orchestration needed to balance the print, radio, TV, and online advertising with the updated corporate documentation, events, and most importantly, budget. But a quick glance at the web applications everyone use each day reveals that Ajax's reach is not as wide as the hype would suggest.
