Tufts Health Plan Improves Member and Provider Services and Accelerates Internal Processes | 2008-09-01 | Oracle |
| Tufts Health Plan's legacy document management system did not have a Web-based, central content repository and could not integrate with various Tufts Health Plan databases. It also lacked other critical functionality, such as comprehensive search, version control, and security features. Additionally, Tufts Health Plan had to rely on its Information Systems (IS) group to manage and manually publish information in its document management system, which hampered the company's ability to distribute information in a timely fashion and lead to duplicate content circulating among numerous departments. After evaluating a number of software solutions, Tufts Health Plan selected Oracle Universal Content Management as its new document management system.

Raad Voor de Kinderbescherming NL Better Protects Children With Case Management Solution | 2008-09-01 | Oracle |
| Raad voor de Kinderbescherming NL conducts its work from 22 locations. In the past, all regions used their own unique versions of systems and databases to handle the influx of data. Therefore, the information about children and their families was severely divided. Often, as a case moved from region to region, the files did not follow. As a result, one family's files might be scattered among different regions. There were even clients of Raad voor de Kinderbescherming NL who moved purposefully in order to take advantage of the challenges. Therefore, the exchange of information between regions and other partners in the youth chain was vital, and a better control of child support was of great importance. The organization selected Oracle's Siebel Case Management to address these challenges.

The Social Enterprise: Using Social Enterprise Applications to Enable the Next Wave of Knowledge Worker Productivity | 2008-08-01 | Oracle |
| What can the enterprise learn from sites such as MySpace and Facebook? First is the notion that birds of a feather flock together. Communities of interest will quickly form without the need for top-down hand-holding. When people form their own groups, the connections are stronger and the interactions more frequent and long lasting. Second, with better tools, a faster rate of user adoption is evident. Enterprise users, spoiled by the ease of consumer software, don't want to perform complex installations, remember arcane passwords, or learn something new just to be able to share with their coworkers.

Facebook Meets the Virtualized Enterprise | 2008-07-06 | Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers |
| This paper explores the advantages of using Web 2.0 and cloud computing technologies in an enterprise setting to provide employees with a comprehensive and transparent environment for utilizing applications. To demonstrate the effectiveness of this approach they have developed an environment that uses Facebook (a social networking platform) to provide access to the Fire Dynamics Simulator (a legacy application). The application is supported using Virtual Appliances that are hosted in an internal cloud computing infrastructure that adapts dynamically to user demands. Initial feedback suggests this approach provides a much better user experience than the traditional standalone use of the application. It also simplifies the management and increases the effective utilization of the underlying IT resources.

Sindoricoh Launches New Multifunction Machine With Intelligent Content Management Features | 2008-07-01 | Oracle |
| Around 9.5 million paper documents are generated each year and they all have to be kept for a fixed number of years for compliance reasons. The high cost and the need to reduce paper waste has prompted many organizations to substitute paper with electronic documents, and convert existing paper documents into digital files. However, the challenge remains how to manage, store, and retrieve the documents quickly and cost-effectively. To address this challenge, Sindoricoh launched a new intelligent multifunction machine that offered new features and could be integrated with a customer's business applications. The machine incorporated Oracle Enterprise Content Management Suite (ECM) to ensure every document printed, faxed, copied, and scanned using the device is automatically captured and stored.
