Developing JSF Portlets With WebLogic Portal | 2009-05-01 | Oracle |
| Support for Java Server Faces (JSF) amongst Java vendors has increased dramatically in recent years, and customers are increasingly standardizing on it for new Java web application development. Oracle in particular has embraced JSF. The Oracle ADF technology stack provides the richest environment for enterprise web development in Java. A key component of ADF is ADF Faces, a web framework built on JSF. Oracle strongly encourages customers to use both JSF and ADF Faces, and provides product support for both. Oracle WebLogic Portal (WLP) has supported the use of JSF for the implementation of portlets starting with WLP 9.2, and the support has been enhanced up through the 10.0, 10.2 and 10gR3 releases. Portlets implemented with JSF can leverage all of the powerful features of WLP.

Maximizing Portal Application Performance | 2009-04-01 | Oracle |
| Enterprise portal servers are vital components of today's Web applications, providing a single interface point for personalized access to information, applications, services, and business processes. Advances in portal technology have significantly reduced the time required to develop and deploy portal applications. As a result, more organizations are leveraging enterprise portals to improve developer productivity, customer service, architectural flexibility, and application integration, essential requirements for achieving rapidly evolving business objectives. A well-performing portal adds immense value to the IT organization and the line of business. Conversely, poor performing portal applications can lead to budget overruns, schedule delays, lost business and lower customer satisfaction.

Dashboard Reports for Predictive Model Management | 2009-02-27 | SAS Institute |
| Dashboard applications enable users to get big pictures on very complicated sets of data and information quickly. Traditionally, dashboard tools are applied on top of rather descriptive variables. This paper, however, describes how SAS BI Dashboard 4.2 and SAS Information Delivery Portal 4.2 are applied to a predictive model repository managed through SAS Model Manager 2.2. Specifically, this paper describes a SAS macro that creates model performance SAS data sets and SAS ODS reports based on SAS Model Manager 2.2. Using these SAS data sets and reports, this paper explains the process of creating a BI Dashboard and a WebDAV content portlet of SAS Information Delivery Portal to allow user monitor model performance in a SAS Model Manager repository.

A Framework to Customize Frame: Building an Interactive Report Web Portal by ODS | 2009-02-27 | SAS Institute |
| Clinical SAS programmers generate hundreds, if not thousands pages of plain-text tables and listings on the daily basis. Identifying critical information from this vast volume of data, such as the patient who is a super responder to a novel RA treatment, an alarming adverse event, is not a trivial task. Therefore, it is in high demand to develop an interactive, user-friendly interface through which one could easily cross-examine various sections of a clinical report including tables, listings and figures by simply point-clicking on browser.
