MSDN Webcast: Windows Error Reporting (Level 200) | 0000-00-00 | Microsoft |
| This webcast explores Windows Error Reporting (WER), a set of Windows technologies that capture software crash data and support user reporting of crash information. By default, when applications running on Microsoft Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, or Windows Vista operating systems encounter a user-mode fault (crash), users can have a mini-dump file of the crash sent to Microsoft. WER gathers the information when a failure is detected and then prompts the user to send in a report. If the user sends the report, the information is uploaded directly to Microsoft.
