Turkish Electricity Distributor Raises Collection Rates 10 Per Cent With New Infrastructure | 0000-00-00 | Microsoft |
| TEDAS is the sole electricity distributor in Turkey. To ensure its premier status for the future, the company needed to overhaul its existing subscriptions, billing, and payments infrastructure. The solutions were expensive to manage, suffered data losses, and failed to prevent widespread fraud. Working with Microsoft Services and Microsoft Partner Meteksan Sistem, TEDAS deployed a new infrastructure that combined latest-version Microsoft enterprise software, such as Windows Server 2003 Datacenter Edition, with Intel Itanium 2 processor-based Unisys servers. The new application - developed using the Microsoft .NET Framework and Microsoft SQL Server - helped stop data loss, simplified administration, and made infrastructure management more efficient.

Office Business Application Improves Sales Force Productivity, Helps Increase Sales | 0000-00-00 | Microsoft |
| Microsoft needed to make the customer data in its Siebel customer relationship management system and other applications more accessible and usable to the company's enterprise sales force. The Siebel UI was frustrating to use, forcing salespeople to spend too much time entering customer data instead of in front of customers. To address that challenge, Microsoft developed Customer Explorer, an Office Business Application that uses Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 to provide access to customer data in several line-of-business systems. Field sales personnel now manage customer data with the same tool that they use to communicate with customers. They now spend more time selling, and can collaborate more easily.

Customer and Data Management System Helps Maintain Growth, Increase Revenues | 0000-00-00 | Microsoft |
| MSI Systems Integrators is an IT solution provider that experienced 83 percent revenue growth in a four-year period. To maintain its growth and capture more revenues, MSI teamed up with two Microsoft partners - Axonom and KnowledgeDNA - to create a solution using Microsoft technologies and software developed by the partners. The solution helps manage customer relationships and thousands of documents and e-mail messages generated during a typical sales cycle.

South African Bank Approves Customer Loans in Minutes With New Processing System | 0000-00-00 | Microsoft |
| Nedbank, one of the four largest South African commercial banks, is a major player in the micro and personal loans sector, with a focus on the country's financially underserved and low-income communities. Faced with growing demand, Nedbank Personal Loans looked for an alternative to its paper-based loan-processing system, which was time consuming and inefficient. Nedbank turned to Microsoft Gold Certified Partner Intervate for a business-process automation and workflow solution using the Microsoft .NET Framework development system. As a result, in 2006, Nedbank handled a 107 per cent growth in loans business, with only a 6 per cent increase in resources. Approval time for processing a loan - where the customer provided all information correctly - fell from five days to less than a day.

ActewAGL Farewells False Economy, Waves Goodbye to Linux | 0000-00-00 | Microsoft |
| ActewAGL provides electricity, natural gas, water and wastewater services to households across the Australian Capital Territory. In 2004, the organization signed an agreement to manage day-to-day operations for TransACT, a Canberra-based telecommunications provider. TransACT's business-critical interconnect billing application was running an Oracle database on the Red Hat Linux operating system. The interconnect application was the only non-Microsoft, in-house developed application in the company, which made it difficult to manage and maintain. ActewAGL also had trouble finding adequately qualified staff to support the environment. ActewAGL decided to swap the operating system for Microsoft Windows Server 2003 and replace the Oracle database with Microsoft SQL Server 2000. ActewAGL also used the Microsoft .NET Framework and the Microsoft Visual C# programming language to extend the application.
