Using C1Ribbon as an Interface to Google Maps | 2007-05-16 | ComponentOne |
| The 2007 v1.5 release of ComponentOne Studio Enterprise introduced a new product, Ribbon for .NET, that provides a pixel-perfect implementation of the Ribbon UI concept introduced in the 2007 release of Microsoft Office. The C1Ribbon component replaces traditional menus and toolbars with a set of tabs at the top of the parent form. Each tab contains groups of related commands that are represented with standard controls such as buttons, check boxes, and dropdown menus. This paper discusses the use of the C1Ribbon and C1StatusBar components in a Windows Forms application that provides an interface to Google Maps.

Enabling an Accessible Web 2.0 | 2007-05-08 | Association for Computing Machinery |
| The next generation of the Web is relying on new technologies to build rich interfaces and applications which enable community, collaboration, social networking and enhanced interactions. This has implication for people with disabilities who have come to rely on the Web to provide more independence, work opportunities, and social interactions. New specifications such as Accessible Rich Internet Applications (ARIA) are being developed which provide more semantic information about Web components and can enable enhanced accessibility. In addition, toolkits and testing tools are making it easier to reach the nirvana of accessibility by default in Web 2.0 projects.

| To maintain the innovation and attention to customer service that in just 13 years grew TicketsNow from a one-man shop to a $250 million enterprise, the company needed a more reliable and manageable Web site and IT infrastructure. Mashup Styles, Part 1: Server-Side Mashups | 2007-05-01 | Sun Microsystems |
| Mashup can be designed in various ways. In one approach, called a server-side mashup, also known as a proxy-style mashup, services and content can be integrated on the server. There are a number of good reasons for using the server-side mashup approach, not the least of which is that the approach overcomes browser security restrictions that constrain XMLHttpRequests and the ability to access web sites across domains. This paper is the first in a series that examines some of the most common approaches, or styles, for doing mashups.
