Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) is a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing ministry that seeks to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness from the world. For years, Habitat spent extensive hours fixing and adding on to PartnerNet to keep up with the expansive growth of the organization and number of affiliates. As a result, information became increasingly difficult to find, access, and manage. Using Microsoft Office SharePoint 2007 as a development platform, AW Systems worked with Habitat to rebuild PartnerNet into an organized collection of global and regional program and department websites, tailored to Habitat's current and expanding needs.

SAS Gains Extranet Benefits With Confidence - Security Solution Makes It Easy 0000-00-00 Microsoft

SAS, a global technology leader, wanted to extend its internal collaboration environment, based on Microsoft SharePoint products and technologies, to include an extranet. It also wanted to minimize the potential of a virus attack vector being exposed within the extranet. To accomplish this, the company is extending the effectiveness of defense-in-depth to its extranet thanks to Microsoft Forefront Security for SharePoint. SAS protects its extranet with up to five simultaneous engines and maintains that protection without needing additional staff.

RiskNet Worldwide Inc. is a subsidiary of insurance conglomerate Aon Corporation, offering a Web-based subscription service that lets large multi-location companies stay current on safety regulations, to monitor safety and corporate compliance. Large businesses with multiple locations expend costly resources to comply with government and insurance regulations and requirements for safety. The largely paper-based processes have been cumbersome, slow, and costly. RiskNet Worldwide partnered with STEP Technology for a secure extranet Web-based solution called Safety Forum, for companies with remote locations to easily collect and report on safety compliance. The application provides for access by mobile, Microsoft Windows CE-based Palm-size PCs.

Based on customer feedback on its Extranet based factoring service, Atradius identified a need to improve quality of service and extend the service range it offered. To achieve this, it needed to migrate to a complete B2B factoring platform leveraging state-of-the-art technologies - quickly and cost-effectively. Atradius implemented an online interactive risk and business decision management solution, known as 'FactureNet', based on BEA WebLogic Server. Module reuse and object-oriented development contributed to six months development time. BEA WebLogic Portal is also used to develop the portal using reusable modules.
