First American Bank Replaces EMC Clariion With NetApp iSCSI Solution

Overview

First American is an Illinois-chartered, full-service bank with over 43 Chicago-area locations and more than $2 billion in assets. The bank wanted to improve data replication capabilities and increase system performance. The bank also wanted to reduce storage maintenance costs. First American deployed the NetApp solution. The bank's IT management team liked NetApp pilot system, a FAS270C, in the bank's data center. After the pilot was tested, First American decided to purchase two FAS940C systems-one for the bank's primary production site and one for its disaster recovery center 20 miles away.
