Providing Comprehensive and Effective Storage Management in Critical Open Environments

Overview

As Austria's leading IT services provider to the public sector the BRZ (BundesRechenZentrum) was juggling an assortment of different storage and server management solutions. Excessive time was devoted to administration and the solutions were closely aligned with the respective hardware. With a mission to increase efficiency and compete more effectively, the BRZ deployed Veritas Storage Foundation from Symantec to create an open, independent storage and server management environment - most noticeably on its critical SAP environment, which administers the payroll for public sector staff of over 100,000 employees.
